We are all part of one grand experiment. While are we developing superbugs ( unwittingly) god is developing superhumans (super bug resistant humans) the same way.

But by then malevolent “cell-sized robotic sharks” will also appear, either are delibrate produced by evil people (mad scientists, religious cultists, or others) or accidentally created.
That, in a sense, is another kind of superbug, and more novel solutions will be required.

Judging by the content on this site I’d say what may happen in the future is fairly obvious. When our bodies are being patrolled by semi-sentient cell sized robotic sharks with lasers on their heads it won’t matter how drug resistant the bugs are ;)

Once upona time, we had bugs (simple bugs), then humanity invented the antibiotics.
Some bugs are killed, and those that are not evolved into superbugs.
Humanity proceeds to develop even better weapons.
What might happen in the future?
We knows not, but surely it is a lot of fun.
