Very cool!
What's next? If you want to stick to games, I would say that a good next step could be Counter Strike. It requires more tactical thinking and good timing than unreal tournament, but is still quite close to what you have already achieved. The good thing about counter strike is game mode and selection of weapons that you have to buy at the beginning of every round. If you die in the game, you have to wait for the whole round to play again and that makes you think before you do and wait for the opportune moment. You also get money at the beginning of every round and that means, you have to think ahead, do you buy that expensive weapon now or do you wait, could you steal a weapon and save the money for later, are you aggressive team player or do you let your team go first when you raid a room. There are other games too that have this kind of game modes, but I think counter strike does it best.
Congratulations on your achievement!
Cheers.

Not murder, since no actual death is involved. It's more akin to a teleport to start for the bot.

Philip K. Dick would have loved this story. Will we soon refuse to let humans into our houses, believing that they are robots, while the more-humanlike robots sit around drinking too much beer and acting convincingly like the regular old jerks we know?

Incidentally -- am I human or a bot? Remember, if you think I sound human, I am probably a bot, because only bots have the skills necessary to fake it.

If this works out for the bot population, they will not even need Skynet. They can just walk into our identities.

If they could stop fighting and start using their chat bar and other players STILL couldn't tell them apart -- that would constitute passing the REAL Turning Test. But then playing the game against them would be a form of murder.

Bots have already passed some versions of the Turing test. It's now a matter of setting the threshold for the percentage of judges, the level of the judging, and the effectiveness of the specific test design.

Nah... just make it purposely miss the head within 1 sigma standard deviation and it will be easily lumped together with the rest of the noobs ;-) Judge: "That certainly isn't a headshot script!" lol

btw, this is an obvious clue most people trying to make AI pass the turing test miss... it is so easy I wonder how they haven

Granted, first-person-shooter gamers aren’t very humanlike to begin with, but still, quite an achievement!
