Yes, good idea. It would allow for adding data that could enhance the limited data from the implant, such as ultrasonic or radar scans. How about a database with hazard markers appended to Google Earth? Using GPS, cell tower, and Wifi signals, the camera image could have warning markers overlayed. Markers for Friends in the immediate area, nearby restaurants, etc., from apps coukd also be overlayed. (This would use the implant camera and optics, rather than the Google Glass hardware, but the Google Glass augmented-reality subsystem and software could possibly be adapted for this purpose.)

It is exciting. I wonder if Project Glass or similar will eventually provide editions compatible with these implants, providing not only visual data but all its other data too. Seems a logical extension.

Or am I getting a little ahead of myself? :-)
