Antihydrogen trapped at long last

Atoms made of antimatter have been trapped for the first time, in experiment called theĀ Antihydrogen Laser Physics Apparatus (ALPHA) at the CERN particle physics laboratory. The feat will allow us to test whether antimatter responds to the fundamental forces in the same way as regular matter.
