Creating Future Tech Businesses through Exponential Thinking

This event is organized by Future Self, with support from London Futurists. A number of speakers will set the scene for a wide ranging discussion on the questions:

  • How will future technologies shape our lives and create new business opportunities?
  • How should we adapt our lifestyles and businesses in anticipation of future technologies?
  • If technology and biology merge, what will be implications be?

The event starts at 6.30pm with networking, followed by presentations and panel discussion.

The speakers and panelists:

Aaron Frank | Aaron is Business Development Manager, Singularity University. As one of the earliest employees of Singularity University, Aaron Frank has been involved in leading the business development initiatives for the organization. In his role, Aaron meets with government and corporate groups to lecture on the impact that disruptive technologies will have on society. (More: http://singularityu.org/bio/aaron-frank/)

David Wood | David is Chair of London Futurists and Principal at the independent consulting company Delta Wisdom. Previously he helped pioneer the smartphone industry as a co-founder of Symbian and as a guide and mentor to numerous start-ups in the smartphone space.

Calum Chace | Calum retired in 2012 to focus on writing after a 30-year career in business, in which he was a marketer, a strategy consultant and a CEO. Calum maintains his interest in business by serving as chairman and coach for growing companies. In March 2015 he published Pandora’s Brain, a techno-thriller about the first conscious machine.  He is a regular speaker on artificial intelligence and related technologies, and runs a blog on the subject at www.pandoras-brain.com.

Alix Rubsaam | Alix is a researcher in Posthumanism at the University of Amsterdam. Her interests include SciFi Lit and Posthumanism.
