Don't ask that, they might realize that roasted sheep is good. A good BBQ to celebrate the end of a good consumer life, and you are the guest of honor!!!

The good and the bad - I'm wondering if this could lead to insurance companies and employers using this to hand pick the insured or employees.

Me too.

"Unfortunately, the existing gold standard detection methods can be too expensive to be implemented in parts of the world where resources are scarce".

This is so wrong an approach. With the staggering costs of healthcare and obscene fees charged from physicians (who have to pay for the sophisticated apparatus the "specialists" need), such tests should be emphasized and promoted EVERYWHERE.

1, for a more prophylactic medicine (the sooner you address an illness, the better are prognosis of recovery AND low price for the cure)

2, as said, to cut the obscene fees charged in this sector

Unfortunately, once again, there are lobbies very happy of the current fees, and THIS IS WHY THIS WILL NOT BE DEPLOYED ANY TIME SOON.

The researchers are so aware of this corruption, that they give the excuse to address a Third World issue, instead of working on a very useful technique to be deployed for EVERYBODY on this planet.

I would like this as a kit for my personal use, with preconfigured solutions for typical middle-age disease markers (or added configuration kit would be better :D).
