I second this. There are a lot of "silly" topics, that do pertain to the Singularity, but have a lot less to do with serious discussion. Things like gaming, music, etc., as well as a place to simply let users wind down and stop yelling at each other.

as i mentioned the best replacement for a radiator is a heat pump;
most heating devices create the heat they provide. electric heat is produced by resistance to current passing through a wire with air blowing on it like a hair dryer. gas heaters burn fossil fuel to make the molecules move.
heat pumps bring existing heat in from outside in temperate winter conditions and only create heat through resistance heat when there is not enough outside to concentrate and move inside.
heat pumps use a third of the current of electric strip heat and depending on gas prices is cheaper than natural gas in most cases.

Hi, could you have the web-developers change the CSS file (.post blockquote) in some small way, just something little so that you can easily see in a post which parts are the quotes and what parts are the replies? Blockquotes are by default "pushed in" to the right and there seems to be a "border-left" added already, but it's just too discrete and easy to miss in a large mass of text.
As of now I am forced to use Firebug plugin and change the css manually when I go trough some lenghty posts :)
Maybe altering background, as now every other post has white and every other grey, if you invert these for blockquotes? Or the font, or color, or something.. smallAlso, at the bottom of each post where currently time of post is displayed, to the far right you could have an "Quote" link, when pressing this it opens up a reply textarea as "Reply" works now, but in it the whole post you clicked "Quote" on would be inserted within "quote" already. This will lead to much faster and easier discussion.
