I have done some technology exchange with companies from Japan.
At one point I came across a "synthetic" fibre they had developed, derived from petro chemicals, I gather
"Never wear" polyester, a fashionista once chided me.Anyway, these japanese inventors had come up with a "synthetic" cotton which had the "breathability" of cotton
and the "durability" of polyester. It probably has already come and gone.
