With all this talk of The Pirate Bay, intellectual property, and things like that, people should be interested to know exactly what can and can't be copyrighted.... So here's some questions for things, if they're original enough...
a few locations of body piercings
a sequence of drinking beers all in 1 night, the pattern of which beers come in which order, even though you own copyright to none of the specific beers
a very unique sexual position or sequence of them
a way of killing people, not the technology to do it but the way its used
a legal defense, so only those who pay you can defend themselves that way
a sequence of actions in a game, so nobody else is allowed the play the game that way
a way of dancing, so if you're at a club and you copy somebody's moves (since everything is copyrighted at time of creation), you have to pay them for permission or risk a lawsuit
----
Are these things copyrightable?
Can we get them regulated to avoid violating copyright, like they're censoring the Internet for the same reason? I demand that my copyrights of specific ways of playing games be protected by regulating those games to make the game end early and display an anti-piracy message if anyone happens to play the game the same way I did (and recorded into a permanent form to copy to people with my permission). I demand bars be further regulated so nobody drinks beers in the same order as me. I demand bedrooms be regulated so nobody has sex in exactly the same sequence of positions as me. The piracy has to stop!
