THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT IS GONE.
It’s the near future, and thanks to a perfect storm of reckless banking practices, hyperinflation, a stock market gone mad, and the negligence of our elected officials, the entire social, political, and economic infrastructure of America has collapsed.
Chaos reigns in the streets, medical treatment is no longer available, and a silent coup has placed a dangerous group of men at the helm of a false government. America’s fate is in the hands of those few individuals who have the survival skills, the faith, and the forethought to return this country to the state its founding fathers intended.

@Ms. Jo Dermondy. With all due respect to your religious beliefs. I can’t follow Judaic,Christian, Muslim, beliefs. None of them make sense. I have worked in churches and synagoges, and every time I am very happy to be in a house of god, as it were. If you follow the core beliefs of them, you can get closer to an understanding, but each wields damnation and death against those who don’t follow their beliefs. Some might argue that Judaism doesn’t condem nonbelievers, but they believe that they alone are chosen in gods eyes. I’m sorry, this is rubbish. It’s no foundation for morals and ethics. My beliefs are that god is everywhere. That everything you do is to god. It doesn’t mean you should hug a shark, or walk into a volcano. An understanding of the forces in action are necessary. You should treat everything with respect. I will kill weeds in my garden, but I won’t poison the environment to do it. I don’t seek the eradication of weeds. Everything must be balanced. It takes a constant effort to understand your proper relationship to anything. It also takes constant review, to make sure you have it right. You have to be sensitive to the other sides reactions and point of view. You can’t just run to a Rabbi or a Priest to find out what to do. You must try and understand on your own, and this takes constant reappraisals of your own beliefs. You must find balance in the same manner that walking demands that you must be perceptive and find balance. Youl have times of unease. Everyone loses their balance on occasions. Aga

Hit the wrong button again.: to continue:.. Again I find what Krishna say’s to Arjuna in a sixteen stanza poem called Bhagidvad Gita, to be the closest to reality as I see it. In it Krishna say’s that he created everything. All the good and all the bad. It is up to the individual to figure out their place. God won’t and can’t tell you what to do. If god interceded then this hole interplay wouldn’t exist. It is all god going into god. Each piece doing things in accordance to it’s interpretation of what it should do. Just try peace love and understanding. What’s so funny about peace love and understanding?

“THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT IS GONE”
Guess you didn’t get down on your knees and pray hard enough.
Or perhaps you didn’t fill up on enough guns in your homes.
Oh well, you still have all those nukes.
So maybe if you cleanse the world in the name of your lord and savior.
GO PLANET USA!

Unless universal spiritual values, beyond religious practices, are taught in the schools and at homes, no tolerance to others and systems that function well in society will be resisted. This is what we see, we can die for Jihad, Allah, or Jesus or some messiah to come. WE live in this imaginative world of self salvation and die in the process. Wake up to accept peaceful virtues (truth, right action, peace, love & non-injury as Savior of our lives, there is no other way, technology definitely NOT ?
Thank about it !

Sounds like a scenario touted by the typical Doomsday Prepper. Not very original. The guy running the “false” government” isn’t from Kenya by any chance? LOL

@Editor: We’re just reaching the foothills of the headlands. If you look to your right, you can see Ginger Rogers and Fred Astair, in Rotoscope, dancing in those heads, and the music you here is Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.

False government???? As I remember the republicans have stated time and again that they weren’t going to work with the democrats. That national health care was going to be Obamas ” Waterloo moment”. That in it’s self is a statement of drawing war lines. It is more than clear that if they helped Obama, then he would easily win reelection. They don’t care about you or this country. They want tax breaks for the rich, who if you check Forbes Magizine , increased their plundered wealth by 1.7 trillion dollars during the worst recession since the great depression. What was the cause of this great recession? The very same societal class that increased it’s wealth, during this time of suffering. They don’t need tax breaks. They have 99% of everything. Stop listening to the propaganda of the rich. Read history. As Warren Buffet said, ” if there is a class warfare, the rich are winning. I’m amazed at how gullible people like you are to the lies that are shipped out at you. Think about it reasonably. Do you really think Obama has the power to hide that he was born in Kenya? Do you really? Are you that gullible? Absolutely amazing. Some people have the intelligence of squids. Look at what caused this almost great depression. Every regulation that was set in place to stop their greed, has been repealed. Who do you think did that? The banking industry was supposed to have one third of the cost of the properties they lent money on, in reserve. What do you think a Credit Default swap is? It’s a shell game, like you see in the streets. There is no nut under any of the walnut shells. The default of credit, which means that the borrower can’t pay the loan, has been swapped. Who has it been swapped to? It was securitized. That means it was made into a security. George Soros said before the crash that those were a weapon of mass destruction. People like you could buy in bulk the risk of failure on those mortages. That’s why so many judges threw out banks claims of repossession. Nobody owned them. Nobody was securing the loan. My Hispanic worker wanted to buy a house. The real estate salesmen showed him a 500,000 dollar house. Of course he wanted to buy it, wouldn’t you? They were going to give him a no questions ask loan. It was bound to default. The banks stole trillions of dollars from people in private and commercial loans. Who pays for that? We do, not the rich. The banks have repossessed the properties. Those commercial loans were for businesses to grow and make jobs. If those businesses were sold inflatedly priced real estate, they were destine to fail too. We are being fleeced by the supper rich. That’s why they made 1.7 TRILLION dollars off this down turn. If you continue to listen to nonsense like that Obama was born in Kenya, you will never understand who the real problem makers are. They own the government with their well funded lobbyists and their supper pacs. They have all the power. The people don’t. I’m sure you won’t take an honest look at what happened. It takes clear thinking, uninfluenced by the propaganda of the rich. It’s not easy to think though economic issues, but I will say this. It doesn’t matter how many drones they buy. It doesn’t matter how many people they suppress. When the balance pushes people over the edge they will do something about it. The one percent can’t fight the 99%. when the economy collapses, they better fear for their lives. It has happened too many times in history. You can’t just say,” let them eat cake”.

Who cares? He produced a forged Certificate of Birth. that doesn’t bother you? Stop drinking the kool-aid. There is no 1%, it is more like 50%, but the lapdog lamestream media has obviously warped your mind. The Obysmal Regime is marching us towards a government dependent society. If you like socialism, move to a country that embraces it. America does not. This is the United States of America, NOT founded on government dependence and equality of outcome. We will fight you to the end. You don’t belong here. We will not give in to Chicago thug corrupt politicians. And by the way, not only does the fraud in chief not have a birth certificate, certificate of live birht or any other documentation of his birth, but one of his parents had dual citizenship, and the Founding Fathers explicitly stated that such a person was not eligible to be POTUS.
by Bri
I think it’s very clear who is drinking kool aid. By your very words you sate more than enough reason for him to be removed from office. Why hasn’t it happened? Because he’s so powerful? Our nation has had social programs programs way before Obama became president. So who should leave the country and who is being played for a fool. I seem to remember that the that the right has tried to stop Obama care ( which i don’t support) on many fronts, including being brought before the supreme court. The supreme court is so far to the right, yet they didn’t stop it. Why is that? So who should leave the country? Me, the supreme court, or you? You probable listen to Mark Unlevened bread (the bread of haste, and half baked.) . He’s always going on and on about how the supreme court should be changed to be even more to the right. Like he’s smarter than Roberts, Scalia, and, Alito. Mark is a raving rabid dog. I’d find he’s show hilarious if it wasn’t for the fact that people believe that raving maniac. Isn’t fascinating the way that those top radio stars won’t let a person with opposing views talk? They rant and rave and then insult and say ” get off my phone”. That right there should tell you that they are ideological bullies, that aren’t based on real facts. Gush limbo is the biggest bafoon of them all. It’s so easy to catch him in lies, yet he’s always say out loud that he is perfect. What an ego maniac. I’ll leave you with two things from Mark unleavened bread. He’s been pushing a plack that was on Regans desk that read, “It can be done”. How is that different from Obamas, ” yes we can”. The last is, mark is always going on and on about how anyone can beat Obama easily. Nit wit homely is sure having a hard time. I guess that when mark said anyone could easily, he wasn’t referring to Nit Wit. Oh by the way, I’m not an Obamanite. I didn’t vote for him. When you have to choose between two weevils, it’s a sad commentary on the state of politics in America. Of the people, by the people, for the people. Does that sound too socialistic for you? I’ll get you a U Haul.( the rich are 50% of our country, boy did I waste my breath!).

Empty church parking lots make secularists and radical islamist very
happy. So far things are going there way in destroying this country.
When no one has one hour a week to spend in a church with fellow
Americans, then in the end you will have all the time in the world
to suffer. Good luck
by Derek
Actually, religion has been more of a damaging force in society than a helpful one. It’s promoted slavery, intolerance, anti-science attitudes (toward evolution and climate science especially), anti-American attitudes (toward freedom of speech and no religious tests), etc. Spending an hour a week with some secularists would reduce suffering in the long run.

Would it? Or are you just thinking of the mythology of our times? Consider such “enlightened” thinkers as Marx, GB Shaw and others who are at the other extreme, atheism. Shaw advocated that people have to go before a board and “justify” their existence, otherwise they’d be liquidated for the “good” of humanity. Marx, of course, gave us communism, which has murdered far more people in the name of “historical inevitability” than the Christian burning times ever did.
To be fair Rawles is a member of a church which leans heavily towards Calvinism, with all the problems such a fundamentalist stand takes, intolerance, bigotry, anti-reason etc. There are other strains of Christianity, however, especially those that advocate that we look after one another as brothers and sisters, much as Christ taught so many years ago.
What matters is not whether we believe in God, Allah or noting at all. What matters is that we respect one another enough to leave each of us to live and believe as we wish. So long as we do not harm or steal from others, what’s the problem? So much of our world would become a thing of beauty if more people acted like that.

Christians stopped slavery check you’d history. Christianity elevated women and children, unborn too. Check out the Christian scientists there are more than you know. You seem to be the one that is intolerant.
by Mr.X
Christianity did what? Pull the other one.Christian scientists, you mean like that guy your government financed and who lost his race against Mr.Venter?
by Mr.X
@ Mrs. Funny.Yeah, without christianity you’ll be doomed.

Why is Kurzweil promoting such a negative scenario? Chaos is not necessary or inevitable. Read “Return to The Garden” by Norie Huddle and learn how a positive, graceful transition through the bottleneck is possible.
Here is Amazon’s link for the book.

KurzweilAI is not in the business of promoting specific scenarios and defining what is or is not necessary — or of blocking ideas because they are unpleasant to think about. There is evidence for a possible coming collapse, and this fictional approach may offer some solutions (I haven’t read the book). We’ll add Norie’s book. Thanks for the suggestion.

Why in the world (no, the whole one, not the USA one)
are you promoting crap out of the minds of conservative christians?
I guess i REALLY overestimated this whole site.
by Mr.X
@Mat:
Anyway, this site is of course promoting specific scenarios.
And there is evidence for almost everything.
I suspect the editor is in reality RAMONA 5.0…
but I won’t claim this until I gathered even more evidence.
Your overestimation is likely caused by the name of the site, if you read some of Mr.Kurzweils work, etc.I’d ignore the stuff I don’t like, if it would upset me more than is acceptable to me.
I visit this site just to see what other people think.;) I like to read the comments. And sometimes there are interesting essays.
And I agree, these christians are unimportant outside the USA. The English term I associate with them is “Nut job” ^^

Actually, Bri is Ramona 5.0. We’re working out the bugs here…
