What do you call someone who speaks three languages? Trilingual.

What do you call someone who speaks two languages? Bilingual.

What do you call someone who only speaks one language? An American.

Or in other words, "Foreign languages? We doan need no steenkeen foreign languages!"

Makes no sense=!?

Here my online dictionary, it has an entry for this proverb:

Therefore, it exists in this form.

It's crap because it doesn't look like what they intended. Or maybe it's just me that thinks the future invading the past is the worst plotline that could have ever been tried?

Also, why the heck didn't Walter peer into the other dimension? Were the observers invading there, too? And who were the First People? That part was left completely out. It just doesn't seem like what they really were aiming for.

Well, the most valuable idea is of the show is Multiverse. That's easy to test if you got enough positive energy to boil the vacuum on macro scale and then to inject negative energy in the space-time hole , so it will stay open enough for person to pass through. That equals energy output of a star for prolonged period of time, plus comparative amount of negative energy. So basically Type II civ skills.

Fringe season one was pretty good. Season two a bit less so. Subsequent seasons are a disaster, although the acting and dialog are still excellent.

This 13-episode final season now airing is almost completely crap. The writers are barely phoning it in.

I think it is cool that all the things we used to dream up and put in movies are now coming true... (ok, not all of them...yet...). Once you can dream it...then at least it is on the wish list for the future. Clearly shows like Fringe are pushing new ideas and those could one day lead to real inventions that change the world. At the very least they run through some problem solving scenarios that although are over dramatic at times can prove to flush out some "what if" ideas or things to even be warned about.

Here is just one very tiny example of what is seen in the movies...is already being worked on and funded from the crowd-sourcing power of Kickstarter. How cool is that!! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1108292587/99-lidar-project?ref=live

Why are pop culture treatments of these subjects off topic? Don't most people get introduced to them that way (particularly through sci-fi novels/movies)?

Stop taking yourselves so seriously people.
