But domination by AI is not a realistic scenario in my opinion, I see a co-evolution of humans and AIs, with human upload grafts in AIs and AI subsystems in humans. I'd LOVE to be a dominated and loved and happy house pet to a superior intelligence. Not having to worry and just play all day and have naps in the warm sun. Look at what "responsibility" and "freedom" gave us - most people live fear and poverty saturated lives. It can't get much worse than as things are right now. Simply put - I don't trust any Humans 1.0 to govern me. Humans are frightful creatures when paired with power. I'd rather have something else take over. What happens next is fine by me - Euthanasia of the entire human species - or being kept in comfortable reservations. I clearly prefer the latter two over a free roaming humanity 1.0. Oh and becoming a Humanity 2.0 might work too. As in me living to become it. If I have to die I don't care what happens. I'll be to dead to care. The world can fall in a black hole for all I care when I am dead. I only care about things insofar I am alive and have any control of my existence. I don’t see what Kaczynski was so concerned about.
