At the Google I/O conference Wednesday, Google showed a renewed focus on consumers, with a new version of Android (4.1) that’s much slicker and that has a better search experience, a new 7-inch Google-designed tablet with a 1,280-by-800 HD display, and a radically different living-room product, the Nexus Q media streamer, which grabs content from the Internet and lets you play it on your big-screen TV.
And the first Project Glass products — including a $1,500 Explorer Edition — is are set to ship to a select group of U.S. enthusiasts early next year, co-founder Sergey Brin announced.
