Don't buy in to the hype. For example, Chlorine is used as a disinfectant in the treatment process by municipalities. With the ability to kill pathogens as they pass by the ultraviolet light makes these water treatment systems the least invasive.

We can also replace are table lamps with that one as it looking good and increases the
grace of room also. Pendant lamps - Pendant lights are a good source of job lighting
and they can be lowered or elevated depending on your wants.

It is obvious that they will not be involved in something
that they cannot ascertain whether it is right
or wrong. The policy offers financial assistance to repair your car and get
it back on track. This maxim is precisely applied in our daily lives.

The comment about muffled speech reminded me of creativity machines; I wonder if this architecture is similar to Dr. Thaler's work. He's been working on neural nets since 74, and his creativity machine for some 20 years. It all boils down to "noise" generated at level of the neuron by a number of factors. Noise leads to ideas/ creativity. (Nature uses everything!) Could it play a role in vision systems as well?

That brings me back to wondering the plausibility of intelligence in other substrates: If noise (inherent in our wetware) is necessary for creativity/ideas/intelligence, will we need to intentionally recreate that in other substrates as Dr. Thaler has?

Have you had trouble with Google Now?
I don't have an Android, yet, but I was playing with my friend's, and it was performing really well. Although, I only messed with it about 10 minutes.

In any case, I can't wait to upgrade/switch in January.

Scientists will be able to read minds pretty clearly within 10-15 years. High definition recordings of dreams are expected sometime this decade.
It does sound a bit optimistic, but that area seems to be moving really fast.

You can just imagine what DARPA images can interpret???(
Let the curtin rise....your thoughts? Your inner most thoughts?
Nah...that's like...unpossible. See "unpossible" for what is very
doable.

Also, of course , an important requirement for the gestation of Netty.

Who is Netty?

The name should be a give-away, but to get to know her better, check out th free e-books available from my website. :>)

Oh, and I have noticed google's speech recognition has improved a LOT in the past few months. It averages about 98% accuracy for me when I'm speaking normally, despite my slightly southern accent :P

Google has finally leapfrogged Nuance's Dragon Dictation's recognition accuracy - a product I use every day on my iphone.

Stagnant? Give me a break. As paradigms shift, it takes a little while for normal science to digest the change, reconfigure, and rewrite the textbooks. There are lots of natural, cultural, economic, etc., boundary conditions that continually modulate the effects of exponential knowledge progress on daily life and technology. It still takes "people" time to do stuff, whether they are human, natural or augumented, or AI.
