		<description>Interesting.  Halide could very well have other uses than image processing. For example, maybe it is suitable for complex events processing, e.g. providing an efficient basis for the development of algorithmic trading over streamed tick data. Or maybe it could be used to implement aggregation functions over NoSQL databases ;-)</description>

When this thing is going to matter, however, is when realtime image processing is neccessary. Moreover, I see an easy to modify template as a neccessary precursor to optimizing the image for needs of element recognition, that is, instead of scrubbing the picture so it would look natural to human eye, the algorhythm would optimize it to make it easier for a machine to recognize what&#039;s in the picture - a neccessary step towards robots and drones capable of true vision.</description>
