I'm all for taxing the rich to a reasonable degree, so long as most of it isn't wasted on lazy people who just feel entitled to social programs. Help the truly poor, who physically can't work, or are too ill to work enough to care for themselves.

Yes I agree, soon we will have full optocal for all data processing. Fiscal cliff is fear mongering. The taxes revert to the Clinton era. You know, the one when we were paying down the national debt. Those poor rich people who make more than enough to survive each day, don't want to pay more taxes. Instead the people who can barely make enough each fey have to choose between more taxes or less social security and Medicare. The one percent who own almost everything can't possibly afford to pay more. Only those who can't afford should pay more, otherwise the rich won't invest in America. They'll put their money in Swiss bank accounts like Romney.

Indeed, another remarkable achievement in optoelectronic. Now let's have such advances in photistors and NAND optocouplers and we'll have soon a true photonic computer (see e.g. http://www.photonics.com/Article.aspx?AID=51799)

With this one, I have my daily fix of optimistic tech news.

I need this to compensate for the ever so dumb state of affairs in the political world (e.g. nowadays, the never ending struggles over the "fiscal cliff").
