The American Visionary Art Museum | Human, Soul & Machine: The Singularity Conference

March 6, 2014

The American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM) is hosting a one day conference in conjunction with our current exhibition, Human, Soul & Machine: The Coming Singularity, to be held on the 3rd floor of the Jim Rouse Visionary Center. The conference will explore, among other themes, the realization of body and soul within art, and the role technology may play in our fast-approaching future.

Featured speakers include visionary artist Alex Grey, transhumanist and author Martine Rothblatt, and futurist author and radio broadcaster Zohara Hieronimus.

An exclusive tour of  current exhibition lead by singularity artist Alex Grey and show curator Rebecca Hoffberger will follow the conference. Boot up and plug in for a day of fascinating discussions that take a communal look forward to where sci-fi imaginings of the past are swiftly becoming commonplace reality.

Please RSVP to Abby at [email protected] or 410.244.1900 extension 247.
