Funny, this article provoked a thought about what "The Zebrafish Matrix" might really look like!

By "full potential" I mean that we can (if we have such arbitrary computing power) explore the full *configuration map* of biological lifeforms.
E.g. We can see what may happen if there is slight change happened to the Pre-Cambrian Explosion, resulting in vastly different lifeforms in later eras.
Or, what happens if the first amphibians have different number of limbs and digits, and these amphibians will become ancestors of very bizzarre (to us) land animals.
Or, what happens if dinosaurs had not extinct that early. Could something totally outside our biology categorization method evolve? (not amphibian, not mammal, not within any conventional categories).
Or, what if some different branch of hominid comes to dominance? What if Sapiens become extinct, and Neanderthals develop civilization?
Could non-vertebrae evolve sentience?
All are very interesting and explore-worthy.

It was birthday of Charles Darwin and Abraham Lincoln on Feb 12 (2 days ago).
A very wonderful time in the year to be born.

On this topic: can the simulation go on to include the whole life of a zebrafish?
In the future, with more computing power, can we simulate a human being this way?
Would be fantastic since evolution can be speeded up (not just for crude simulated zooids but real animals) and we can explore the full potential of Earth's biota and the Nature Selection process in silico (without the messiness and slowness of the real world).
