Journal editor resigns over contrarian climate paper

The editor-in-chief of the journal Remote Sensing has resigned over the publication of a paper questioning the reliability of climate models.
Wolfgang Wagner of Vienna University of Technology concluded that reviewers of the paper, published 25 July in the open-access journal, failed “to identify fundamental methodological errors or false claims,” and the paper “should therefore not have been published.”

It could be that getting a contrarian AGW view published is difficult. You know the concesus tends to slam outside views. If you want to get a better picture of the war going on read this… http://wattsupwiththat.com/2011/09/04/the-science-is-scuttled-abraham-gleick-and-trenberth-resort-to-libeling-spencer-and-christy/#more-46627

An important question, not asked in any coverage, is why the authors selected a journal aimed mostly at geographers for publication of an article about climate science. Do we know whether it was rejected by more accurately positioned journals? It also would be interesting to know who supported their research.
