I’m trying to get Bill to question those inclusive pronouns that keep getting bandied about in discussing many of the projected possible benefits of the ‘singularity’ idea.
When talking about stuff like the extension of human life through nano-tech just exactly who is meant by terms like “we”, “us”, and “our”?
Am I supposed to read the pronoun as including the whole of the human race or do we start pairing it down a bit?
All humans except those that are Muslims say?
Or just keep it simple and limit things to those who can afford it?

If singularity means a point at which we can no longer describe or predict the conditions that might exist beyond it then why not wait a bit until one has better information?
We’re brilliant enough to organize well enough to achieve exponential development of tech yet lemmings in our ability not to develop tech?
Yet somehow “we” get immortality outta the deal?
I wanna know who “we” are.
Until that gets explained in detail my status as a member of Ark ‘B’ as Mr. Adams describes suggests that I ought to give Teddy’s little tirade another look see.
