That magnetic plug in socket is a neat trick! I’d love to see a schematic of how they achieved the functions, that nerves and tendens do! How much force it can withstand before they become unseated.

Now that’s actually a good idea: developing a plug and play unified standard for robotic manipulators. When the very same hand could be attached to industrial equipment, military ordnance sapper, or telepresence robot, we will have a whole lot of demand which, of course, will cause the costs to plummet sharply. And the universal software allows for new functions to be added as needed and simplifies the learning curve.

Interesting they show the robot hand pictured holding an apple (guessing the adam and eve theme chosen)…. since the article was talking about disarming bombs, would have been interesting to picture this hand with a grenade just to get the theme across better or get my attention faster. JustMy2cents.
