Mind the flying robots with cameras and arms
November 3, 2011
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) engineers have developed tiny flying robots with multiple cameras that can zoom to hard-to-reach places and make deliveries. They plan to attach arms to so it can also fix things.
They are also developing lightweight agricultural swarm robots, equipped with cameras and advanced navigation capability. The goal: cause less soil damage and apply herbicide more intelligently, using image recognition software to identify weeds.
