for an example, what does it mean for an actual infinite creativity not to exist?
{please don't attempt to answer this*}
my attempt:
we exist. reality is still here. what does that mean?
first you must define 'actual infinite creativity', or would a better use of words be imagination instead of creativity? lol hope I’m not making an fool of myself talking about this? mother of god----its Jesus: lol.
the simple and boring answer; There is ONE Infinite. "An infinity" refers to one of "an infinite number" (there it is again) of abstracted properties (aspects) of that ONE infinity. Infinity is really one of the simplest concepts to grasp, once you stop trying to fit it into your finite imagination.
Infinity, in my opinion, is just a tool we use to try and understand the universe as we perceive it. The only place it exists is in the minds of men. In other words, it's just a way of looking at things. Like beauty, something that exists in the eye of the beholder but not necessarily in the thing beheld.
If we cannot prove that infinity DOES exist, then it seems to follow that we cannot prove that NOTHING is not the opposite of SOMETHING.
NOTHING and INFINITY would seem to be on equal grounds, yes?
So, let me try this: To conceive of infinity is to conceive of nothing being expanded without end. It is the dynamic of expansion trying to overtake contraction or contraction trying to overtake expansion.
The trouble with trying to conceive of infinity, then, is to try to think of it as a static state, when possibly it is better thought of as an active twoness.
"an active TWONESS, indeed" The axis of Tao where all polarities converge and exfoliate. Absolutize or mono-pole-ize any single pole of a polarity and you end up at the other. NOTHINGNESS is meaningless without SOMETHINGNESS. Opposites are identical.
My point here is that polarity does not work between absolutes. NOTHING in all caps implies an ABSOLUTE nothingness, but such an absolute ANYTHING creates a duality, not a polarity. In non-dual thought, 'nothingness' (or emptiness) is the tool to break down absolutes and truncations (reductionisms) of the infinity within and without. It is the identical opposite of somethingness or 'form' and so these cannot be absolute terms. The only thing absolute is the absolute itself which is ineffible and is the axis of all polarity, not one of the infinite number of possible poles...such as NOTHINGNESS or SOMETHINGNESS...
No endings, no beginnings, but movings - movings between chosen stopping places, which never are stops abosolutely.
Infinity is moving. To grasp infinity is to try to stop something, and THAT's why it blows one's mind, because that which is always moving blows out of the thought trying to contain it.
My opinion
In non abstract terms there is just one infinity and that is the one of everything, all other things must be parts of everything and hence smaller, fewer and so on. Therefor Infinity does not apply to a lot of things.
In abstract terms infinity is just infinite, non finished counting of whatever you count, meters oranges or whatever.
