My thought was what happens if the body (or area of the body where the gel is) chills. For instance, with dentistry, if I drink an ice cold drink - or swish around an icy (the kind that gives you a terrible sinus headache for a minute or two), will the gel also dissolve? If I am outdoors skiing (or smoking) and extremities get cold as blood vessels contract, will the gel dissolve? Suppose I fall into or try to swim in icy cold water, what then?

By the way, GatorALLin, when did you switch your pic ID to a skull? How do I do that?

Very cool.... we are working on a product to deliver fluids between the teeth and gums (inside the sulcus or pocket) where it can be hard to keep medicine or any fluids down there for very long. The Gingival crevicular fluid will otherwise wash or push out anything you try and put down there..... We use a very small/thin hollow 0.45mm diameter tip with rounded bottom (not a needle) where the technology to allow fluids to flow easier would be critical. Thanks for posting this article and I hope if any updates come out you can update us in the future..... Thanks!!
