They've Seen the Future and Intend to Live It

New York Times, July 16, 2002

The April Foresight Senior Associate Gathering speakers' expansive vision of the future included nano-scale assemblers, human-computer merger, radical life extension, and graphs presented by Ray Kurzweil's showing the accelerating rate of technological progress.

"'The 21st century will see 20,000 years of progress at today's rate,' he said, adding that computers and humans will merge, producing a being of almost unlimited intelligence."
