OnLive targets mobile workers with game technology

Onlive is planning to roll out its cloud-based video streaming technology to businesses so remote workers can use demanding professional applications as if they were sitting at a powerful workstation in the office.
OnLive’s video streaming technology allows video game players to run games in the cloud on high-performance servers that almost instantaneously stream responses to players’ inputs.
The technology now allows business users to run computationally intensive, graphics-heavy applications on a virtual desktop on any hardware that can display a video stream (even on smart phones and tablets) for professional video editing or computer-aided design, for example.
