Tyranny is a danger to the public anywhere any time. If currupt officials are given the power to legally suppress true information about them and jail the informers there will be no way to defend ourselves against the powerful crooks who worm into corporations and government police who always want to operate their thefts and autrocities secretly. That is what our founders meant by freedom of the press being the first shield for all our freedoms.
