The 2011 Planetary Defense Conference is the second conference on protecting Earth from asteroid and comet impacts held by the International Academy of Aeronautics.  Anticipated topics include recent progress in potentially hazardous objects; discovery and tracking resources and plans; impacts, consequences and education; mission planning and technologies; campaign planning; legal and policy framework for planetary defense; and moving forward on planetary defense.
