Quantum Africa 2011: Quantum Technology will be hosted by Sohag University in South Egypt, 25-29 September 2011, and will feature advances in quantum science and technology presented by African and international researchers. The conference will provide the opportunity to see African research in quantum science and technology, and to engender dialogue and collaboration between researchers, scientists and engineers.

The conference is a part of a series of “Quantum Africa” conferences dedicated to bringing top scientists and technologists to Africa, thereby helping to raise African science and technology to higher standards, raise awareness of governments and industry in Africa of the importance of new research and development in quantum technologies, and engender collaborations and research exchanges.
