Our wetware computer components are protected by a complex network of antioxidants to protect our DNA software from radiation damage. There needs to be an electronic version of Vitamin C and E, etc. to protect nanocomputer components.

Come to think of it, Marcos, just last week there was a paper here about a memristor that uses one atom of iron to store a bit of memory. The atom of iron is surrounded by an organic molecule of 51 atoms.

So there goes the theory of green space robots from mars =) unless you find a VERY good shield to make it for a planet’s magnetic field OR another way of designing circuits, such as organic ones.
