Scientists have now confirmed the existence of a new element, No. 115 on the periodic table, by slamming atoms into each other.

I’m a bit confused here… in the video it shows Element numbers up to 118! Are these just theoretical elements?

Well, Bob Lazar could have told you, LOL
(see e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUfY2L3Q8xs)
However, he said Element 115 was stable because it belonged to the much sought island of stability.
Bad luck, it’s highly unstable, so is Bob Lazar actually only a liar, a damned liar?
ironically element 115 would show similar properties to bismuth being aligned on the periodic table. Charles Brush’s paper in the american philosophical society caused the new york times to run a headline “einstein wrong!” apparently bismuth is not affected by gravity in the same way that other matter is and he conducted the experiments to prove it. perhaps it’s a coincidence, perhaps good ol bob is telling the truth. who knows?
