Now imagine coupling these lasers to fiberdiamond fiber optics and those organic memristors that store a bit of memory on a single atom of iron.  Amara gave us an article back on July 6 entitled, &quot;A magnetic memory with one bit per molecule.&quot;  The very name of these &quot;plasmonic nanolasers&quot; sounds like a bit of SF from the Golden Age of Asimov, Heinlein, and Clarke.  The words are so new that the auto-correct didn&#039;t recognize them as words at all.</description>
