Samsung Electronics is demonstrating the first carbon-nanotube-based color active matrix electrophoretic display e-paper device.

Electrophoretic displays offer advantages over traditional flat panel displays: their low power consumption and bright light readability makes them well suited for handheld and mobile applications; they can be produced on thin, flexible substrates, making them ideally suited for use in e-paper applications; and rely on reflected light and can retain text or images without constant refreshing, dramatically reducing power consumption.
