We can already see frivilous franchise based on quite brainless TV dramas, "professional sports" and even ill-made fantasy novels like Harry Potter. People do pay for these overpriced things (What an astonishment!). Thought provoking, science facts packed science fictions and their related franchise products should sell better. Therefore, science fiction deserve a lot more attention than they recieve now. 100% agree.
