Scott Heiferman

Scott Heiferman is CEO and a co-founder of Meetup, a service that helps people use the internet to organize local community groups with local offline meetings.

Heiferman also co-founded Fotolog and i-traffic. Prior to founding i-traffic, Heiferman was employed by Sony with the title “Interactive Marketing Frontiersman.” In 2005, Scott received the Jane Addams Award from the National Conference on Citizenship. In 2004 MIT Technology Review awarded Scott “Innovator of the Year” for his work with Meetup.

He graduated from The University of Iowa in 1994 and posted a photo on his personal Fotolog for every day between 2001-2008.
