This is obviously a big-money deal for Apple, which is great! It will encourage Apple to continue improving Siri, and for competitors to come out with their own versions, which will continue to drive the technology forward. This is how virtual assistants wil continue to get better and better.

When can I use voice command to control car interior climate, radio settings and other interior functions so my hands don’t have to lift from the steering wheel at all? Very soon I hope.

Glad to see this option from car designers…. they are finally realizing that no matter how good they make their systems…. if I am already trained and happy with my own phone system for features like calling, using voice and even navigation that My Perception is king…. just let me plug in my phone and it works! Years ago they did this for MP3 players and other music options… I hope this trend continues… now I want my screen from my phone to take over on the car screen also…. (note their on screen menu system looks lame). Let me plug in my phone and watch movies on the back seat screens, etc…(why pay to connect your car to downloading features..when my phone already does all that)
