“The Boundaries of Humanity, ” 5th Interdisciplinary Faculty Seminar Dinner

Blakey Vermeule, Professor of English at Stanford University, will speak on “Moral Tribes and their Breakdown in the Modern World.”  Prof. Vermeule will also explore how certain literary fantasies can relieve the cognitive pressure that we are under to make sense of and manage our moral intuitions.

Our seminar will be held with a catered dinner on Thursday, March 10th in the Conference Room of the Stanford Department of Anthropology (Building 50, Room 51A, of The Inner Quad).

A wine and cheese hour beginning at 6pm will precede our dinner meeting, which will begin around 7pm.
