The Counterculture & Physics

September 18, 2011

Quantum based encryption, computing, and teleportation are among the hottest topics in physics and engineering today. Yet many of these core ideas once found their home amid an anything-goes counterculture frenzy — a mishmash of spoon-bending psychics, Eastern mysticism, LSD trips, and CIA spooks chasing mind-reading dreams. In the first half of the program, George Knapp welcomes Dr. David Kaiser, along with Dr. Jack Sarfatti and Dr. Fred Alan Wolf, to discuss how the hippies saved physics.

The show airs nationally on radio or via live streaming at 10 p.m. PDT.
