The Eye Tribe — eye control for mobile devices
October 25, 2012
The Eye Tribe software (formerly known as Senseye) allows users to interact with their mobile device using their eye movements.
A simple webcam and a set of infrared LEDs are connected to the USB port of the tablet. The software records the eyes and calculates the point of the screen where the user is looking.

Obvious necessity for smart glasses/contacts like Google Glass.

Of course, yes, that would be the ideal platform for eye control. Can’t wait to see what they release next year. Would love to try them out.

Seems pointless to have EYE control on HANDheld devices (unless, for some reason, you’re unable to use your hands), but I’m sure there are better applications for this technology. It would do away with the TV remote for starters. :-)
