I’ve done some work (a little) on supercomputers. It’s difficult to harness all that power cleverly. Fortunately groups like IBM have specialists for that sort of thing, and parallel processing is maturing a great deal. For a long time it was like nobody really knew what to do with parallel processing units, but mathematical theory has filled in the gaps, and now you have some lovely choices for task models.

Well, supercomputers often has their custom software. This one should be no exeptoion, but that will be an expert sysytem not a general AI. It i s pitty ,that few megawatts of electricity can’t even aptrouch cockroach state of inteligence.
