Re the Luna Ring concept (for space solar power): right. That fanciful concept was proposed by Shimizu as a promotion and is unworkable, according to leading industry experts I have interviewed (on a not-for-attribution basis).

The lunar solar panels concept is rather inefficient and wont happen, and Second Life is dieing and being replaced by open source derivatives, I don’t get why futurists keep talking about it.
