"your mind can control your sensations..." Or in a even deeper way: your mind may cause great physical changes on the body.
There are stories of how hypnotized persons who are told to believe that they are burnt or cut and they *actually* have burns and slits materialize on their body (sound a bit like fiction, I understand).
And, in much more believable acoounts, humans can be hypnotized to death. I was shocked when I first heard these stories.

You can contrast the sensation of cold by the Autogenous Training practice: your mind can control your sensations, this is my experience.

I've talked to others who have the same feelings as you. There must be genetic or epigenetic variations to account for this.

Odd, but I am the other way .. typically feeling too warm for comfort. When it is too hot (or the people around you like it too warm), one is pretty much out of luck. At least when it is too cold, you can wear warmer clothes, exercise a bit, etc. ... even turn up the heat. Humidity, of course, is a factor too. I remember as a child standing and waiting for school buses ,,, and deciding that I liked doing that better in winter than in summer.

I wish to have my emotions ,negative thoughts and other psychological disturbances *turned off* this way.
BTW, it is dangerous to abuse/overuse this technology, as negative sensations (of cold, pain etc) are necessary to prevent us from injury and other dangers.

Interesting. My wife gets uncomfortably cold (and starts wearing sweaters/coats) when the temperature drops below 80 degrees, and she takes showers in water so hot it is painful to me. I've often wondered if it was biological.

I would love to just attenuate the sensation of cold. Some people appear to be less sensitive to chills. I was more tolerant when I was younger. Now I hate winter. It would be nice to appreciate it instead.
