What’s next for NASA now that Curiosity has touched down on Mars?
For a sneak peek into what the space agency has in store, take a look at the 28 proposals for the NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts program, which gives out awards of $100,000 and $500,000 for ideas that have the potential to “transform future aerospace missions.”
Here are 10 of the most fantastic projects that NASA hopes will be inspiring people long after Curiosity has finished exploring Mars, Time Techland reports.

it will be interesting if google could stick one of their self driving cars….and map it… and zip around MARS to explore. If they can do this.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9Fxp3HK6DI then do we really need a rover to drive a few inches per hour… Just saying, why map from space if we could map the entire planet from the ground. It will be interesting to see how the layering of these different ideas can build super robots to do amazing things… “make it so #1.”
