Amazing! You just helped me remember that I saw the movie. I had forgotten, as I often do. Wait a minute, am I filling that in with memories of another movie?

This will not bode well for our society. Think about it. Every defense attorney will jump on these findings and single out every witness that has ever given testimony and say you can't trust what they say. Every prisoner will look at that and say "You can't trust any witness because our memory is distorted when we put things to memory, and it gets worse as time goes on. If you can't trust the memory of witnesses, why am I in jail?" This will have widespread and tragic consequences on our already beleagured justice system. Mark my words.

So maybe that's why we have so many liars in Congress and the Executive branch, as well as siblings, colleagues, teachers and professors, etc?

I can still spell my first wife's name and we've been divorced for over twenty-five years. Just don't ask me where I laid my keys last night.

I've never forgotten, "I've got a hole in me pocket." When I recall that memory I always hear Ringo's voice.

If our brains don't find it necessary to preserve and hold sacred our own memories, it's kinda scary to think how easily it would be to manipulate our identity and beliefs.

The article makes it sound like all memories are constantly changing. I like to calibrate mine by remembering things that can be cross referenced. Take the movie Yellow Submarine as an example. It only played once. The beatles were in a contract to produce a certain number of movies. They were breaking up, so the movie was made without them. They only appeared at the very end. Ring pulls a round black flat rubber sheet from his pocket and say's, " I've got a hole in me pocket. This is in reference to several scenes where he uses it to get them out of problems. The last scene it's used in, they arrive in Pepperland, where th blue meanies have frozen things with giant bubbles. This is how the movie began and pronged Alfred to seek help. Ring uses the hole on the bubble that has a band that is dressed in the uniforms of St. Peppers Lonely Hearts club Band. He puts it on the bubble and it deflate. The music that the band plays turns the tide on the battle and vanquished the blue meanies. I haven't seen that movie since I was a child. I haven't recalled it till fairly recently. I don't think it's available on you tube, the beetles shelved it. Max it's not a blue world anymore! Where can we go? Max reply's, Argentina?
