By absorbing energy from the sun solar collectors of whatever type are reducing warming. Isn't that what's needed? Nuclear is limited to how much fuel is left just like all other fossil sources of energy. I remain convinced that nuclear is far too dangerous to mess with and encourages 'we are godlike' thinking which makes it even more dangerous.

What about the possibility of Cold Fusion? There seems to be a lot of people working on it, but not much to report.

See the book 'Global Weirdness' to understand why nuclear is not the way to go. Too much risk without enough benefit. Can't have too much uranium floating around. It could fall into the wrong hands, and there also aren't any completely reliable ways to dispose of used uranium.

Have there been companion studies to determine the climate impact of massive deployment of solar collectors? Surely this would have some impact because if would alter the current state of earth's reflectivity/absorption of solar energy. I remain convinced that nuclear power (4th and subsequent generations) are the most viable solution at hand that will satisfy base load demand.

This is still another case of scientists in one field not paying attention to scientists in another field. We've seen papers excerpted at this newsletter about the soon coming of flexible carbon solar cells that will be much cheaper and more efficient than the silicon cells of today. We don't need wind turbines for all 18 terawatts of global usage. We just need wind turbines enough for when "the sun don't shine."
