The 3rd Biennial Conference on Brain Development and Learning: Making Sense of the Science will be held in Vancouver, Canada from July 16th to July 20th, 2010. Brain Development and Learning: Making Sense of the Science is an interdisciplinary conference devoted to improving children’s lives by making cutting-edge research in neuroscience, child psychology, & medicine understandable and applicable to those who work with children on a daily basis. Topics to be discussed include parent-infant interaction, in-utero effects on brain development, the neuroscience of learning and memory, math and reading, mental health, creativity and many more.

The keynote lecture by Gills Juelien, MD, will discuss the importance of bringing these latest neuro developments into the underserved communities.   Keynote lecture by Michael Meaney, recipient of the Royal Order of Quebec, will describe the relationship between experiences of the brain and gene expression. Special events include the Sense Theater, a special film on deciphering dyslexia.
