CogSci 2010 – 32nd Annual Cognitive Science Conference

CogSci 2010 - 32nd Annual Cognitive Science ConferenceCogSci 2010 is the annual meeting of the Cognitive Science Society for basic and applied cognitive science research.  The conference will be held in Portland, Oregon from Wednesday, August 11th to Saturday, August 14th (Wednesday, August 11th, is the day of tutorials and workshops). All sessions will be accessible for those with disabilities.  This year’s conference will end on Saturday evening with a special symposium and reception celebrating the first decade of the Rumelhart Prize.

Tutorials will be held on topics such as agent-based computer modeling for cognitive research, Bayesian models of inductive learning, Bayesian data analysis, dynamic field theory, CLARION cognitive architecture, and model comparison methods.  Workshops include “Compositional Connectionism in Cognitive Science II: The Localist/Distributed Dimension”, “Understanding, Predicting and Mitigating Error in Routine Procedural Tasks”, and “Cognitive Social Sciences – Grounding the Social Sciences in Cognition?”.
