Google’s products are well-known for their enormous scale + reach. That global influence is always trending-up. For example, there are at least 2 trillion Google searches each year, as of year 2019 — increased from 1.2 trillion searches in year 2012.

At the current rate, that’s 63,000 searches per second. Google owns approx. 90% of the world-wide search market. That means 90% of all searches conducted by people are made using Google’s search software — on desktop + laptop computers, tablets, smart-phones + smart-devices.

Google’s web-mail product G-mail has over 1.5 billion users. And Google’s social media platform YouTube plays 2+ billion videos per day. And approx. 24 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube each minute. YouTube has approx. 1 billion visitors per month.

Expanding high-speed data networks across the planet — and better access to the web on smart-phones — connect billions of people to the internet, enabling Google to rapidly scale access to its products + platforms. As of year 2018, Google’s smart-phone software — Android — operates +85% of all mobile phones globally.
