Air Danshin | Japanese airbag protects homes from earthquakes

The Guardian | Japanese technology firm Air Danshin has devised an airbag system that can raise a house 3cm off the ground to protect it from earthquake tremors. Sensors detect when a quake starts and ends, and gently deflates the airbags afterwards.
