The National Space Society’s 29th Annual International Space Development Conference

August 4, 2010

The National Space Society’s International Space Development Conference is where astronauts, scientists, entrepreneurs, government officials, activists and other citizens who are interested in the opening of the “final frontier” gather each year to discuss the future of space exploration.

Regular ISDC features include presentations and panel discussion by government and industry leaders, astronauts, engineers, and scientists about the latest developments in space technology and related fields.

This year’s ISDC will include a look at where the space program stands in light of the Obama administration’s new space policy. In addition to hearing the world’s space leader’s views on the future of space exploration, ISDC registrants are provided with the opportunity to present their own views and ideas in the conference’s “Many Roads to Space” forum.

Some of those attending this year’s ISDC are:

* NASA Administrator Charles Bolden
* Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin
* Scientist and author Freeman Dyson
* Apollo 9 astronaut and B612 Foundation Chairman Rusty Schweickart
* Former NSS Executive Director and new CEO of Virgin Galactic George Whitesides
* X-Cor Aerospace President Jeff Greason
